For the next few pages, I am not leaving any commentary. The back story is too personal. You may ask me questions, but I might not answer them. This one, however, I will comment on.
This current page helped me break through a creative block and ultimately helped me create a performance art piece where I played an eagle. (See image.)
“Eagle in the Cities” was one of my more ambitious creative endeavors. This piece chronicled the nesting period of a bald eagle trying to survive in a noisy urban environment and unintentionally giving the city-dwellers something neat to look at. Cycles of nature and everyday human routine clashed while at the same time functioning in harmony.
The piece was split into three parts shown over a three day period. It involved intricate costuming, two eaglet puppets and one prey puppet filled with candy organs and fake blood. I debuted ”Eagle in the Cities” at the Soap Factory‘s Artery 2010 exhibit.
