Russians who drink love their vodka regardless of ethic extraction. Even when the Soviet government hoped it would go away, it never did. If you’ve ever been around a Russian who drinks and an ample supply of vodka, it’s quite the experience.

I think the first time I ever heard the phrase, “Twisting my Melon,” was in something involving The Monkees. I’m not sure. I always thought it was a pretty fun phrase.
I heard the phrase again when I saw the video for Step On on The Jukebox Channel (a.k.a. The Box.) For those of you who are not familiar with The Box, it was kind of like a TV jukebox that would play way better videos than MTV. If you called their 1-900 number, you could request any song in their playlist for about $2 a piece. It was pretty awesome. Unfortunately, MTV murdered The Box with some sort of payola lawsuit, shortly before its music video programming committed suicide. Fucking MTV and their dumb ass reality shows. Fuck you MTV! Fuck you in the ear !
Thankfully, we have music downloads, YouTube and free streaming options to fill in the gaps left by MTV’s bullshit. We miss you The Box!
What I wanted at the time of the 24-Hour Comics event was to finish my comic on time, without it looking like total rubbish. I am pretty proud of how it turned out. FYI: For those who want to see what I look like I am the chick dressed in all-black at the very bottom of bottom photo.

I am sitting next to the person with the orange vest. I was so tired of drawing, but I wasn’t about to let sleepiness beat me.

Here’s the short version of why today’s comic is nineteen hours late:
- I forgot to tone four pages of “So, Now You Better Stop” after Paul flatted them.
- I forgot to save the settings for the toning.
- I could not replicate the toning savings to save my life, for the last week or so.
- I couldn’t spend I should’ve spent fixing the problem because I was enjoying my birthday and an overnight trip to my mom’s for dinner and fun.
- When I came back I still couldn’t solve squat.
- I took care of everything I neglected in favor of trying to fix this mess and got a grip of myself.
- That was temporary.
- I called Mandarr in a weepy panic while she was visiting a friend. The call was short and hyperventilated
- I decided that the only way to salvage the mess I made because of my omission was to leave the coloring flat and let Mandarr know that the lovely half-tone settings that we spent two days trying to figured out, and that she got paid for, at the beginning of the month were about to go down the toilet. She was very gentle and calmed me the hell down.
- I thanked the Lord for FastStone Photo Resizer after using it to make the webreadies.
- I posted the comics while listening to Dread Zepplin.
- I wrote this post.
- Happy 11/11/11. *Eyeroll*
