• Camello: A bleached-blond and short-haired Jason Momoa  – Muscular, uber manly and, he has the right type of facial structure.  The fact he can act is a nice bonus, especially since Cam is such a complex character.
• Lucky: Long-haired and mustachioed for the younger version and, aged for the older version, Javier Bardem is my number one choice. His look, fuck you attitude and Spanish heritage make him especially suited for the role.  He also has the acting chops necessary to pull off a superficially charming, hypocritical, vulnerable, haunted and ultimately selfish character.
• Teen and Young Adult Marlborina: Genelia D’ Souza’s cute sassiness can easily help her pass for a much younger person.  Her Indian heritage also make her an excellent choice to play a Rromani character. Genu’s ability to successfully pull off a great sense of romantic chemistry with a much older actor without coming across as sleazy also helps.
• Older Marlborina: A short-haired Penelope Cruz.  Name recognition aside, Penelope’s resemblance to Genu, her acting ability and her marriage to Javier Bardem, makes her a no-brainer choice for this role
• Mikhail:  I physically modeled him after business oligarch Dmitry Rybolov, so naturally I can’t think of a better person to play him.  Since Mikhail is fairly wooden, acting ability is not necessary.
• Sasha: I honestly can’t think of anyone better than slender twink porn star Brent Corrigan with blue contacts and a curly wig to play the part Sasha.  This guy’s bad boy street credentials speak for themselves, he can sing and his sexual energy is undeniable.  His pechant for unusual gay-oriented roles and his surprisingly decent acting ability seal the deal.  And when he is in a campy mood, he can be the adorable cheeseball that is Sasha.
• Zoya:Marta Peterson is a risky choice for the tarty drummer/keyboardist, as she’s an unproven actress.  Yet, she has the look and could potentially exude a drugged up bimbo vibe with the help of an acting coach.  A basic drumming crash course, and her experiences as the keyboard player for Bleeding Through give her the muse needed to bring the character to life. I like this girl and I believe that she has what it takes to make the part work.
• Dmitri: Russian Idol winner Amarhuu Boorhuu’s singing ability and fantastic stage presence are the icing on top for this casting choice.  Although he is completely unproven as an actor, I would be willing to take a chance on him because strikes me as easy to work with, he shares Dmitri’s Buryat heritage and he has a a fantastic rock and roll look.  With a bit of beard, some fangs and an attitude, I am pretty sure that this boy would have a blast playing a brooding and intimidating villain-type.
