Here’s a link with a basic crash course on general Rroma culture. Keep in mind that not all gypsies are the same. On this page alone, there are Russka (Xaladitka) Rroma, Sinti, Gitano Calo and Lulo Rroma people. Under normal circumstances, but Rroma tribes don’t like to mix. In Soviet Russia, forced settlement of gypsies didn’t always take into consideration subculture differences within the larger culture.

FRAME THREE
A lighter-skinned teenage woman wearing a red frilled dress with heavy cleavage and a matching kerchief on her head is competing for Lucky’s attentions.
Sinti Girl To Lucky For the love of Allah, marry me!
Girl in Red To Lucky No! The cards say you are mine.
FRAME FOUR
Lucky stops walking and eyes the two teens with a sideways glance that shows his nervous suspicion.
Sinti Girl To Lucky Convert to Islam and marry us both.
FRAME FIVE
A teenaged female cousin of Lucky appears. He brown hair is neatly styled in a bun and she’s wearing brass earrings and a pink dress. Lucky is scandalized and breaks out in a cold sweat.
